Skeleton oil seal

The skeleton oil seal is also called the rotary shaft lip seal, the oil seal we call in daily life is the skeleton oil seal, the role of the oil seal is to isolate the parts that need to be lubricated in the transmission parts from the external environment, so as not to let the lubricating oil leak. The skeleton is like the steel bar in the concrete component, which plays a role in strengthening and enabling the oil seal to maintain its shape and tension. The skeleton oil seal is generally used with the bearing, placed outside the bearing to prevent the dust from entering the cavity, and also to prevent the lubricating oil in the bearing from leaking out. Commonly used skeleton oil seal forms are TC, SC, TB, SB, etc.

Unlike other seals that require special installation tools, o-rings are easy to install and are the most versatile seals. In the field of sealing grease, water, air, gas and other fluids, it can provide axial or radial sealing solutions It is suitable for almost all fields of industry, in the specified temperature, pressure, and different liquid and gaseous media, in the static or moving state of sealing role, widely used in machine tools, ships, automobiles, aerospace equipment, metallurgical machinery, chemical machinery, engineering machinery, construction machinery, mining machinery, petroleum machinery, plastic machinery, agricultural machinery, and all kinds of instrumentation. Various types of sealing elements are used in a large number of applications.

O-ring

Guide rings

The guide ring is a piston or piston rod hydraulic cylinder or cylinder use, which supports the piston or piston rod moving parts, it can prevent the piston or piston rod from direct contact and friction of the cylinder body during the movement, and protect the cylinder block and piston or piston rod from damage.

The use of support guide rings has the following advantages:

(1)  No cylinder pull-out, small leakage. No matter how severe the "tension" phenomenon is, there will be no "pulling cylinder" phenomenon, and the leakage is reduced due to the high coaxiality of the friction pair and the more uniform radial clearance.

(2)  Polish, thinn and protect the inner wall of the cylinder.

The support ring on the piston slides back and forth with respect to the cylinder inner wall,

which is equivalent to polishing the cylinder inner wall with a soft substrate.

Therefore, the lower the surface roughness, the better.Tiny metal powders that have

been polished are embedded in the soft surface of the ring to protect the seal.

(3)  Good bearing capacity and easy replacement.

PTFE bearing rings are resistant to (25~30) MPa,

and reinforced glass fiber synthetic resin is resistant to (270~350)

MPa. The guide ring is open (floating) and easy to replace after wear.

Guide Rings

X-ring

The X-ring can be installed in a dedicated groove with a low compression ratio to reduce friction, but it can also be used in an o-ring groove of the same size. X-ring has lower friction, can overcome torsion better, and can obtain better lubrication; It can be used as a motion sealing element at lower speeds, and it is also suitable for static sealing; It is an improvement and enhancement on the basis of the performance of the O-ring.

Characteristics of X-ring:

Compared to O-rings, the x-ring has less friction resistance, start-up resistance, due to the lubrication cavity formed between the sealing lips.

  Since its flash position is in the recess of the cross-section, the sealing effect is good

  Non-circular cross-section to avoid rolling during reciprocating motion

  X-ring is a four-lip seal with a shape similar to X

  The structure of the x-ring is the same as that of the O-ring

X-ring

Combined sealing washer

The combination seal is a bi-acting piston seal. This integrated design combines sealing and guiding functions in compact form, suitable for installation in closed grooves. The anti-extrusion rings prevent seal migration into gaps, while the central serrated-profile sealing ring ensures effective static and dynamic sealing. Wear-resistant guide rings provide radial load bearing and piston alignment. Applications: Widely used in reciprocating hydraulic cylinders/pistons.
